Application Process - International Students

 

Congratulations on your decision to study in the United States! A very rewarding and life-changing experience awaits you.

 

STEP 1  APPLY

 

1.1  Complete the Application Form and submit to Soteric Academy

1.2  Submit your Application Fee of $250 to Soteric Academy. Payment can be made by credit card or by wire. The wire instructions are in the Application Form

1.3  Send an electronic copy of the student's Transcript to Soteric Academy

1.4  Send an electronic copy of the student's passport and other required documents to Soteric Academy

1.5  Submit Proof of Funds (United States Dollars or equivalent currency)

 

STEP 2  REVIEW

 

2.1  On receipt of a student application, Soteric Academy shall review the student information and schedule a Skype interview

2.2  After the Skype interview, Soteric Academy shall make an acceptance decision within 5 days

2.3  Soteric Academy will inform the student about the acceptance and email the student an enrollment contract.  A deposit of $5,000 is required from the student prior to issuance of I-20 form. The deposit will be applied towards tuition after the student obtains F-1 student visa.

 

STEP 3  OBTAIN VISA

 

3.1  Pay the fee to the US Government for a F-1 Visa. This is called I-901 SEVIS Fee. Make sure that the information you submit on the I-901 form matches the information on your I-20 form. For more information about the I-901 payment, see www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/

3.2  Schedule an interview for a F-1 visa. This can only be done once you have received the I-901 receipt. You can schedule your F-1 interview at any United States Embassy or Consulate. STEP 4  ENROLL

 

4.1  Submit the balance of tuition, fees within 2 months of receipt of I-20 or 2 months before school start date whichever comes first

4.2  Report to School on Orientation day. This is the first day of school for new students
